Zombies Attack in The Dawn of the Dead

Want a movie that will guarantee a nightmare? Then Zack Snyder’s remake of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead is the perfect before-bedtime flick. Brimming with flesh-eating zombies and gory scenes, this horror flick will make you stay on the edge of your seat throughout the entire movie.

The plot starts when a nurse goes home after a long shift at the local hospital. The following scenes are probably some of the most memorable ones, making Dawn of the Dead one of the most decent zombie flicks ever made. The story continues as the nurse (portrayed by Sarah Polley) and fellow survivors seek refuge in a mall. Blood-splattering, flesh-eating, and gun-shooting scenes make the flick a worthwhile watch. At the end of the movie, the viewers are left with a hanging question — will the survivors make it?

The Dawn of the Dead remake received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. However, Zack Snyder’s version was able to gain commercial success. This flick is actually one of the few zombie movies that were able to earn more than $100 million at the international box office.

Compared to George A. Romero’s original masterpiece, this remake definitely had more aggressive zombies. The flesh-eating zombies in the 2004 Dawn of the Dead are reminiscent of the zombies in 28 Days, a British horror flick that featured humans consumed by the rage virus.

If you want to reminisce all those flesh-eating scenes with blood-curling images of zombies pursuing their victims, then grab a movie shirt that features a green-glowing logo of Dawn of the Dead. Complete with an image of a half-decaying zombie’s head, this movie shirt is definitely an eerie addition to your wardrobe. Also a perfect gift for Zack Snyder fans and for those who can’t get enough of zombie flicks.
